How to Bring About Good Changes in You (for Girls)

Phychology of a teenager. No Comments »
  1. 1
Think about the things you want to change, and why you want to change them. Consider moving towards healthier eating habits, exercising more, or doing better in school. You can also work towards a better and healthier relationship with your friends and family.

  2. 2
Analyze what you are doing in those areas now. Think about how you are living your life.

  3. 3
Set goals. Think about where you would like to be a month from now, or even a year from now. For example, you may want to lose 10 pounds by summer, or have an A in math by the end of the semester.

  4. 4
Break down your goals into small, manageable steps. For example, aim to get an A on all your homework for a week, or aim to exercise 3 times a week.

  5. 5
Work hard to reach those goals. It's hard to change something about you, so don't give up and keep your end goal in mind.

  6. 6
Reward yourself if you reach your goals! Do something you want to do. Go to the beach with friends, or take a night off from work.

  7. 7
Gradually increase your goals until you reach your main one.

  8. 8
Congratulate yourself! Changing your life is challenging and takes a lot of effort and perseverance.

How to Block Out Voices and Weird Thoughts from Your Head

  1. 1
Avoid revenge for any unresolved issues from the past? Did anybody hurt you in any kind of way, either mentally or physically? Perhaps you still haven't gotten over this hurt, and this is manifesting itself in your mind, by fantasies of revenge, in the most violent kind of ways, that you know, in reality, are just wrong to even entertain.

  2. 2
Bring yourself back to the present from harsh thoughts about hurtful, past events: When you find yourself in this situation, get a grip of yourself immediately.

  3. 3
Calm yourself down. Focus on your breath. Breathe deeply and deliberately (rather slowly) to feel less anxiety, avoiding pressurized nerves.

  4. 4
Pray calmly to God, and try to think about other things ("change the channel in your mind"). Praise/Thank God in your prayers. As with a big premium satellite TV package, you have hundreds of channels from which to choose and your prayer of praise or thanks is a channel that can reward you with calm feelings, occupying your time positively as you need, as you prefer.
    • What you think about channels your thoughts and orders your mind; choose peaceful thoughts, absorbing conversations or a movie, if one of those tends to help, replacing anger or spitefulness.

  5. 5
Practice meditation techniques of mindfulness, to clear your mind.

  6. 6
Speak to a professional counselor on how to deal with this problem that you are suffering, if it is hard to sublimate (to use the anxious energy positively) for fully blocking this out

How to Become a Teen Individual

  1. 1
Never follow the trends as this is what every teenager does and by buying normal clothes and creating your own look will help people recognize you rather than buying designer clothes such as "Jack Wills" or "Hollister".

  2. 2
Stay being you, which means if you like to read, do it! Don't ever be discouraged to be yourself as this is the most important and interesting part of you and will be the part that will make you stand out from the crowd.

  3. 3
Make yourself noticed, which could mean that you become a public speaker in assemblies or get involved in sports or art clubs.

  4. 4
Have fun and be yourself. There are always people who feel uncomfortable in a crowd but be your self and everything will be okay.

  1. 1
Figure out what you want from life. Write it down, and every day make a small step towards that goal. Rome wasn't built in a day. Don't stress about time. You have your entire life.

  2. 2
Look in the mirror every morning and say; "Today, I will be the best I can be." Yes, it sounds corny, but it really helps building confidence.

  3. 3
Ask people you trust (family, friends) for constructive criticism on different parts of your life. They will most likely be honest with you and can help you to become a better person.

  4. 4
Find a role model. Someone you admire, or wish you were more like. it could be a neighbor who always has a smile, or a celebrity who really accomplished their dreams. See what makes that person so great and try to do what they do.

  5. 5
Be confident. No one ever got anywhere amazing by playing it safe. Take risks. Sometimes you fail, but it's worth it to gain learning experience. And sometimes, you just might win.

  6. 6
Smile often. This will make you automatically go into a positive mood. It will make you and those around you feel happy, and people will feel more comfortable to approach you.

  7. 7
Eat healthy. This is an incredibly important step to live life to the best. Not just eating healthy, but go to the gym and train daily, or even just go for a jog around the yard. This will keep you in shape and you will feel extremely energetic and ready to do anything!

  8. 8
Be yourself. We were talking about being yourself when you dress, but also be you in your personality. Make the most of being in the skin you're in!

  9. 9
Try out new things! Don't be afraid to try something else out. Join a group or club – sign up for the choir, join a dance troupe, start sports training – whatever is to your liking! You can meet many new people, and you may even find a hidden talent of yours!

  10. 10
Make friends. Don't just let yourself off on your own! Make sure you try and meet as many people as you can. Talk to them as well. Start conversations. This is a fantastic way to live your life to the fullest. Friends will be there for you to catch your falls!

  11. 11
Be fun to be around. Start a club, go bowling with friends, whatever you want to do.

  12. 12
Help others. Do deeds not just for your friends, but also donate to charities. Do a door knock for a good cause, put old clothes and toys in the charity bins they have around. A visit to a hospital or a retirement home to make someones day. Wrap an extra Christmas present and put it under a charity tree (they have these at most shopping centers and big stores). After all, they want to live a great life too…..

  13. 13
Treat yourself. After a days work, give yourself a treat. This will help drive yourself to be the best.

Take responsibility for your actions. If you mess up, don't lie about it or pass on the blame to someone else. Admit your mistake, apologize, and ask what you can do to correct the situation and/or make things right. Remember what happened so you don't make the same mistake again.

  2. 2

  6. 6
Think about where you want your life to be in five years (university education, high-paying job, spouse, condo, nice car, etc.). Write it down. Then make a plan about how you will get there.

  7. 7
Start saving money if you haven't yet. Putting part of your paycheck into your savings account is going to be useful down the road when you want a house or car.

  8. 8
Begin building a credit history. Get a gas station credit card or take out a loan. Make your payments on time, and it will be easier to get approval for large purchases in a few years.

  9. 9
Know that you cannot control other people so try not to think too much or care about what others (especially strangers) think of you.

  10. 10
Respect your parents (or your guardian). They are the people who will be there most likely when you need help.

How to Be a Successful Teen

Phychology of a teenager. No Comments »
  1. 1
You need to be confident and learn more about yourself than you already know. Once you know who you are, you will be able to make smarter decisions on whether or not you will do drugs or have sex.

  2. 2
Love yourself and feel all the most comfortable about yourself. It can be hard at times, but by constantly reminding yourself that you are amazing, it can safe you from harder paths down the road, like suicide.

  3. 3
Remember that your family is there for you. If you're having a bad day, it wouldn't hurt to try to talk to your family.

  4. 4
Remember that once you lose your virginity, it's gone for good. You can become baptized and be a "born-again" virgin, but that won't change the fact that you had sex at some point in your life. Also, while drugs may be fun, they are also a very serious and dangerous thing to have in your life. Being caught with drugs can prevent you from getting into the college you might have wanted.

  5. 5
Ignore all the peer pressure, and focus on studying and getting good grades. A good college will make you a lot happier than that pizza you grabbed with your friends on finals week.

  6. 6
Ask yourself what kind of life you want to lead. Maybe talk to your school's counselor about this. Once you know the direction you want to have in life, it'll be easier to visualize, and then achieve those goals.
