2Bring yourself back to the present from harsh thoughts about hurtful, past events: When you find yourself in this situation, get a grip of yourself immediately.

3Calm yourself down. Focus on your breath. Breathe deeply and deliberately (rather slowly) to feel less anxiety, avoiding pressurized nerves.

4Pray calmly to God, and try to think about other things ("change the channel in your mind"). Praise/Thank God in your prayers. As with a big premium satellite TV package, you have hundreds of channels from which to choose and your prayer of praise or thanks is a channel that can reward you with calm feelings, occupying your time positively as you need, as you prefer.
