Get a more flattering haircut, style your hair and wash your skin with proper face wash and use a proper face toner. If you're a guy, make sure you keep your eyebrows clean and not too bushy, and that you shave your face properly and carefully. If you're a girl or if you like makeup, use a little bit in a tasteful way and make sure you tweeze your eyebrows.

    Dress nice and smell nice. Do some research on the internet about the latest fashion for your gender and style, and then go for the types of clothing that suits your personal taste, style and body. You do not have to spend too much, you can always find fashionable clothing in less expensive stores.

    Walk confidently. Stand up straight, head up and stride around like you own the place. Face people to show you aren't afraid.

    Communicate. Ask questions to people to strike up conversations, don't be too nice but at least communicate.

Do it every week at least once. New experiences bring new life lessons and you'll feel more confident and happier, and even will have the chance of meeting new people.
